I honestly do not know how to start my review on this book.Ms. Daws delivers a stunning, surprising, heart-warming tale of two somewhat lost souls (though they might not think themselves as lost) who will struggle with each other and themselves to find their way to where they want to be.
Tanner and Belle, so different, yet such similar characters, are embarking on a journey, when an innocent night out puts them together in a way they weren't wanting, but can't escape. To keep up their image, they need to play nice, which isn't so easy when one seems to be a bit stuck up their own butt, not able to take anything seriously, and another is supposedly an unemotional work-aholic. But somehow, with the writing, this story works. It is always going to new heights, it brings us characters who are believable, surprising in their humour and their depths, lovely scenes, hot scenes, funny scenes, and an all around superb story.
Endurance will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions from laughing out loud at witty banter, to swooning at Tanner Deep Talk, it'll leave you to dry your tears while dealing with the feelings and have you coming back for a second ride.

Tanner Harris is going through a period of adjustment. After a lifetime spent in sync with his twin, Camden, recent times have seen a monumental change in their relationship. Without giving too much away about Challenge, which details the story of those changes from the points of view of Camden and his love interest Dr Indie Porter, suffice it to say that Tanner's twin, is no longer 'on the market', and his football career has taken a turn that sees him no longer Tanner's mirror image on the other side of the football pitch where they were once both strikers for the same team, Bethnal Green.
Being a somewhat typical alpha male playing professionally for a Championship league club, Tanner's way of dealing with these changes doesn't involve talking about his feelings or letting it all out. Instead he goes the route of big parties, loose women and thanks to some pretty poor choices in that regard, courting the scandal pages of national tabloids at every turn.
When Dr Belle Ryan, BFF of the aforementioned Indie gets inadvertently caught up in one of those scandals things come to a crisis and pressure is brought to bear on the both of them to, for the sake of their respective families, take steps to repair their damaged reputations.
Amy Daws, in Endurance, has written a clever, witty comedy that, over and above the laughs that come at a rapid fire pace, nevertheless touches upon some extremely emotive topics. Family relationships of course, as all of Tanner's family take up residence as part of his story, including his sister Vi, whose story fans might remember from That One Moment, and the Harris family, despite their extraordinary level of crazy, is contrasted favorably with the Ryan family, some of whom I'll wager, you'll want to strangle before the book is finished. That said though, topics such as homelessness, and the struggles associated with fetal surgery are explored in a sensitive and touching way.
A welcome surprise too, was the appearance of Reyna, a character from another earlier novel, Not The One whose incursion into Tanner and Belle's story was, for me, particularly poignant.
Written as a dual point of view standalone, it can of course be enjoyed as is, though doing so would inevitably lead to a certain level of spoilers of earlier novels should readers ever wish to go back and visit them.
Personally, I found it to be a wonderful, mostly lighthearted read that, for the most part had me alternating between smiling and laughing as I raced through the pages and I can't help but recommend it in the strongest of terms should that be the kind of thing you're looking for.
Oh my goodness! Tanner and Belle made me fall in love with both of them. He started off as a saucey sod and she was a feisty little minx! Together they make such a great pair. Endurance was incredibly hilarious and sexy but also some very deep emotions came out in this story. Belle Ryan is an amazingly talented doctor and Tanner is an awesome footballer! Her life was immediately turned upside down by one night and one decision. The changes they made and changes in people's lives that truly needed it shows so much compassion in their hearts. Belle's family has never shown any emotion or have been remotely interested in anything she has done in her career . So she finds it hard to be involved with such a loving and tight nit family such as the Harris' . They welcome her with open arms and show her how a family can give you the love and support you need. What starts out as an arrangement or means to an end quickly takes a 180 and they are both balls deep in each other! This was an excellent read ! I love all of Amy Daws' work and get truly so excited when I get to read more of it!!
Heees here, in all his glory *smirk*, Tanner Harris is finally here! And boy does he know how to make an entrance. Dr. Belle Ryan has the umm pleasure of helping the footballer out of an exposed situation. And in the process of helping Tanner, Belle gets herself some media exposure she could have done without. Now these two are going to be spending some time together to help with both of their situations, oh let the friction begin! These two are hilarious together, I seriously could. not. stop. laughing! The lines in his book are so twisted and brilliant at the same time. Amy Dawes has such an amazing way with words. And the feels....oh man the feels in this book do not disappoint, at all! I loved every every second of this book and if you have met the first Harris twin you must meet his brother...swoon city my friends! This book is a stand alone, but for those of you that have read some of Amy's previous books, get ready to see some old friends!
